NYMT MAY & SUMMER WORKSHOPS

The National Youth Music Theatre is offering a unique and exclusive opportunity to hone your musical theatre skills, work with NYMT practitioners and jump the queue at auditions next year!

Come to any of our workshops in 2009 to automatically be placed on a priority booking list for auditions for the 2010 NYMT Company!

Our workshop programme is very flexible – Pick and choose the best workshops to suit your needs!

TASTER WORKSHOPS

Work with NYMT practitioners in dance, drama and music, and get a taste of what it’s like to work with the NYMT. You’ll learn new skills as well as build upon those which you already have. If you have not worked with us before (auditions, workshops or productions), you must do a Taster Workshop before attending any other workshops.

SKILLS BUILDER WORKSHOPS

Improve your skills in singing, dancing and acting. Available in one of the skills or in a concentrated day of all three. Book the complete set to give yourself an intensive workout in all aspects of musical theatre.

AUDITIONING WORKSHOPS

Learn how to best present yourself at a musical theatre audition. Bring your audition piece and our practitioners will work with you to perfect both it and your auditioning style.

CREATIVE EXPLORER WORKSHOP

Create a new piece of musical theatre by re-engineering an established musical and having real creative input into its development. Collaborate with people who are as serious about musical theatre as you and have fun at the same time!

Our workshops are available to young people aged 11 through 21. Each day runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be held at a central London venue. None of these workshops are residential. All workshops are first come, first served and are subject to numbers.
