Dear All,
Over the last few months you will have read quite a bit about NYMT in the media. For those who haven't caught up with all our news, here is a snapshot:
- A specially selected cast performed at Her Majesty The Queen's private 80th birthday party at Windsor Castle resulting in major press coverage;
- We re-staged our “The Dreaming”, performing at Tonbridge School for two nights to rave reviews, packed audiences and television coverage;
- The highly acclaimed Caroline Leslie joined NYMT as our new
Artistic Associate;
- An exciting new audition programme began with workshops in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Liverpool and these will produce brilliant casts for our two new productions in 2007;
- Connie Fisher, an NYMT alumni, won the “How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?” TV competition;
- Major sponsorship was received!
However, none of this would have been possible without the hard work of Liz Whitehead, our Interim Executive Director and Frankie Durkin, our Office Manager. Between them they have ensured that more and more talented young people become part of the NYMT experience.
We have great plans for our future and, on behalf of the Board of NYMT, I would like to thank our President, HRH The Earl of Wessex; Founder, Jeremy James Taylor; Sponsors, Friends of NYMT and of course the thousands of aspiring performers, writers, musicians and production assistants. Thank you all for your great support.
Maggie Semple, OBE
Chairman
