NYMT is offering a unique and exclusive opportunity to hone your musical theatre skills, work with NYMT practitioners and automatically be placed on the audition list for the 2008 NYMT company auditions in the Autumn.
The workshops will run from the 23rd -27th of July at The Arts Educational School in Chiswick, 10 am - 4 pm.
The participants will be streamed 11-13; 14 and 15; 16-19. The week is broken down into two parts:
Monday - Wednesday
Three Days/Three Disciplines |
Thursday - Friday
Masterclasses |
| Monday - Wednesday is a general workshop which covers all three disciplines. You will be working with industry professionals in Dance, Singing and Drama. |
Thursday and Friday are Masterclass workshop days. This means you choose one of the three musical theatre disciplines and spend an entire day working with a professional practitioner on the area you have selected. For example, you may spend the day working on dancing with NYMT Choreographer Lee Crowley. |
If you wish, you can opt to do one or two of the Masterclass days without taking “Three Days/Three Disciplines” (but if you choose two Masterclasses, they would have to be in different disciplines)

Your programme
You can tailor-make these courses to suit your own needs and timetable. We would encourage everyone who plans to take part to do the first three days (which will be streamed by age group: 11-13 yrs, 14-15 yrs & 16+ yrs) to then choose one or two Masterclasses – but it is your choice! So, for example, if you were 16 yrs old with a desire to focus on your singing, your week might look like this:

Cost
Monday-Wednesday – Three Days/Three Disciplines
The cost for the Three Days/Three Disciplines course is £150.
Thursday-Friday – Masterclasses
Each day costs £75.
So the total cost for the example timetable above is £225.
Places
There are only limited places for the summer workshops. We are offering 75 places for the Three Days/Three Disciplines course and 20 places for each Masterclass. This is to ensure that each participant receives the right level of focus from the practitioner. We will be offering places on a first come first served basis.
